Be Smart Care For Your Car

Are you one of those people who think "it could never happen to me" when it comes to breaking down and being stranded in the middle of nowhere during your self-drive holiday?

Maybe you are lucky enough for it not to have happened to you, however you can definitely increase your odds against it happening by taking a few precautions and carrying out a little car care.

Car care isn't just about taking your car to the garage for its regular service or for fixing up the little dents, bumps, and scratches with ultra-modern technology such as paintless dent removal. It's about taking care whilst travelling.

For instance, did you realise that the higher you load your roof rack, the more fuel you will use? Car care involves taking this into consideration by packing the luggage on your roof rack as low as possible. Wrapping this same luggage in plastic sheets - which reduces the fuel consumption even more - is a perfect example of car care.

Another aspect of car care is checking the pressure needed for your tyres under heavy loads, which you can find listed in your car handbook. Bear in mind, however, that the figure printed will be for cold tyres. In warmer weather, you will need to adjust it according, in order not to end up with a reading that is misleadingly high.

Also when travelling in hot weather in your car care should be taken to ensure the tyres are in good condition as warmer weather just makes any existing damage worse.

Among other things, car care encompasses checking the handbrake. If it requires a lot of effort to pull it up enough to stop your car rolling backwards on a hill, then you might need to get an authorised person to check the cable or rear callipers.

Cooling reservoirs that haven't been checked can also be included in car care, as if your cooling fan doesn't work, you won't be going very far at all! You can check to see if there's anything wrong by letting your car run idle for 5-10 minutes (once it has reached normal temperature), after which time the cooling fan should kick in.

Not only referring to physical aspects, car care also extends to things like sneezing. Did you know that you lose up to 100 metres' vision when you sneeze, whilst travelling at 112 km per hour?

Car care to reduce the elements that might make you sneeze involves vacuuming floor mats and coverings regularly, especially during the summer. Since pollen grains filter in through the vents and windows, keeping them closed as much as possible will help reduce their presence inside your car.

Sunglasses also form a part of car care. Because the windscreen acts as an additional filter, photochromic lenses (the type that dim automatically in bright sunlight) change more gradually inside a car, making driving through tunnels dangerous.

Ultimately, car care isn't something you should do just because you are going on holidays or taking a long trip. It's something you should do on a regular basis.

By carrying out just a little car care you can ensure that your driving experience always remains the pleasure it ought to be.

How To Fight Against Wrinkles

Wrinkle is a ridge or crease of a surface. Wind, heat and chemicals and the natural effects of aging cause a certain amount of wrinkling in everyone. Most wrinkles are associated with aging changes in skin. Aging of the skin and related structures (hair and nails) is a natural process. It usually refers to folds on fabric or clothes, or on the skin of an organism; the folds are generally random and do not exhibit any repeating pattern. Skin wrinkles typically appear as a result of aging processes such as glycation or, temporarily, as the result of prolonged (more than a few minutes) immersion in water. Wrinkling in skin is caused by habitual facial expressions, aging, sun damage, smoking, poor hydration, and various other factors. In addition, as a person ages, the sweat and oil glands of the skin become less numerous and smaller in size. This causes the skin to lose moisture and to dry out. Dry skin with weak collagen and elastin will sag, shrivel, and wrinkle.

Wrinkles are a by-product of the aging process. With age, skin cells divide more slowly, and the inner layer, called the dermis, begins to thin. Most wrinkles appear on the parts of the body where sun exposure is greatest. These especially include the face, neck, the backs of the hands, and the tops of the forearms. Wrinkles come in two categories: fine surface lines and deep furrows. The skin around the eyelids, jaw, and neck is especially thin, and therefore more naturally prone to aging. Although people may have a genetic predisposition to severe wrinkling, it is known that sun exposure promotes and exacerbates wrinkling of the skin. Smoking may also negatively affect the skin. The most critical step in the treatment of wrinkles is sun avoidance and sunscreen use. Lasers may also be used to minimize wrinkles. Non-ablative (or lunchtime) lasers do not break the skin and have minimal side effects, but, are also not very effective. Other lasers, known as non-ablative lasers, may also be beneficial in treating wrinkles. These lasers work by heating the dermis and stimulating collagen growth.

Treatments and products (including anti-aging creams) promising to reduce, remove, or prevent age-related wrinkles are big business in many industrialized countries. Botox collagen and other injections are the addional techniques available to help minimize wrinkles. Vitamin A Acid (tretinoin, Retin-A, Renova). This ingredient, available by prescription, has the longest track record of success in treating aging skin and fine lines. Dermabrasion (scraping layers away) and chemical peels (dissolving skin away) are two of the traditional methods used in skin resurfacing. Heat and radiofrequency. Another variation of noninvasive facial rejuvenation is to heat tissue using radiofrequency devises and infrared light sources. Techniques are still being developed, but results to date suggest that such treatments are safe and can produce visible and lasting improvement, though not as much as surgical techniques like facelifts. Fillers are injected into the skin to increase volume and flatten wrinkles and folds. For a long time, the most popular filler was collagen, whose effect only lasts a few months.

Getting the Best Deals on Discount Designer Clothes

There isn't anything any woman likes more than finding a great bargain on fashion. I always look for discount designer clothes and discount designer shoes when I shop. My friends are always amazed at women's causal clothing bargains I've found. I own several fake designer handbags, and my friends think they're real. It's easier than you think to find deals.

My husband is right. I'm a shopping fool, whether online or in the store or through a catalog I always seem to be looking. But one thing he doesn't give me credit for is that I always shop for discount designer clothes.

I'm talking about designers like Stella McCartney, Catherine Malandrino and my favorite Missoni. I just bought a fabulous Missoni wrap dress at 50% off, yes, 50% off! There are a lot of discount designer clothing buys to be had out there, you just need to know where to look and when to look.

When I bought a new Longitude women's swimsuit I got it at 30% off.I found a fabulous and flattering Carol Wior swimsuit at the end of the season last year that looked great on me this year. When I look for fitness clothes I always look for bargains too. I have found Champion and Fila women's fitness clothes at great discounts.

Ah, my fake designer handbags, my absolutely favorite things. I've a Fendi Spy bag, and a Balenciaga Motorcycle bag, and a Chloe Paddington. The next fake designer handbag I'm planning to buy is a Louis Vuitton Monogram Denim Cruise Mini Pleaty. I always look for what are called mirror handbags, which are exact replicas. Absolutely no one knows that these bags are fake designer handbags, and I don't tell!

I also buy designer replica sunglasses. With the price of plastic designer sunglasses in the $300-$500 range there is no way I'd buy the real thing. I'd rather buy designer replica sunglasses or designer inspired sunglasses and save hundreds of dollars. I also have to wear reading glasses, so I play with them too. I love buying designer reading glasses of all different shapes and colors and use them to further accessorize my wardrobe.

Along with always buying discount designer clothes I buy discount designer shoes. Imagine finding Christian Louboutin at half price, or Jimmy Choo at 40% off. Amazing. Since I buy more classic then trendy clothing and shoes I buy at the end of season. Since I choose more classic clothing and shoes my discount designer clothes and discount designer shoes never go out of style!

How To Pack For A Trip To Europe

1. One linen suit with draping, wide-legged pants, fitted jacket and light colored fabric. These two pieces can be worn together, or separately. The pants can be worn with any cute top, and the jacket can be worn on chillier nights.

2. Two calf-length or longer skirts in white, light or bright colors that can be dressed up with a nice top or dressed down with a cute tank top and flat shoes.

3. Comfortable sandals with small wedge heels. (Walk around in these a lot to make sure they are comfortable and don't rub you in the wrong place)

4. Strappy high-heeled sandals for your nights out and special dinners

5. Two pairs of capri pants (or full-length denim jeans if you aren't too warm in them) light colors if they are fabric or in a medium or darker wash if they are denim, and without holes or tears (even if you bought them that way). Europe tends to frown upon the more relaxed American styles and is much more formal than casual.

6. Two semi-formal shirts, maybe a kimono top, in float material. These are really cute, especially on petite people, and they also keep you cool while still being dressy and not too casual or revealing.

7. 4 or 5 assorted tops and tank tops- small and easy to pack. Please note that some places in Italy do not allow bare shoulders due to strict religious believes. You will mostly encounter this if you go to visit a catholic cathedral, or any of the primary attractions that are in a church. Bared shoulders, midriffs or legs above the knee are considered inappropriate.

8. Two lovely little dresses that are at least knee length and can be dressed up or dressed down.

9. One swimming suit, careful again about the formality issues in some of these countries. You can wear a two-piece swimsuit bikini, but do bring along a sarong or some other kind of cover-up for when you are out of the water.

10. This last one is a combination: comfortable tennis shoes or flat walking shoes and two lightweight jogging suits. I suggest this because of the fact that you will be spending a fair amount of time on buses, trains or airplanes, and it is most important there to be comfortable.

11. Jewellery and accessories are an excellent way to change your style - maybe a chunky belt to put over a dress in the day time, and an elegant set of jewellery for the night time. Also remember that your makeup can stay light and colorful in the day, and you can create a Smokey-eyed look for evenings out.

You could wear these same basic items every day and just change around colors and hair style and no one would ever notice that you are following a pattern! All these items wont wrinkle very much and can be rolled in your suitcase which can give you more room.

Of course, dont forget your under things like bras and plenty of underwear! Bring sunglasses, and find a cute hat or two so you dont get too much sun in your face and eyes.

St Thomas Vacation Preparations

So you have finally made the decision to take a trip to the Caribbean. But what part of the Caribbean do you want to vacation in? There are so many islands to choose from and so little time. Well if you are nervous about traveling to the Caribbean then why not start with a trip to the US Virgin Islands.

The US Virgin Islands gives you the security of being part of the US but is located south in the Caribbean. There are three islands to choose from. The first island is St Thomas. St Thomas is a bustling island with business, restaurants, attractions, hotels, St Thomas Condos, and more. It is a vacation for those that like a little fun and excitement at night with top quality dining.

St Thomas receives a lot of tourism especially from cruise ships. Cruise ships bring in a lot of traffic. They average between two and seven cruise ships per day. Think of the traffic that seven cruise ships would bring in. If every cruise ship averages three thousand people you could potentially have twenty one thousand people being dumped off into downtown per day. That is half of the islands population.

Accommodations in St Thomas are grand. You can choose from renting St Thomas Villas, Hotels, Timeshares, and more. You have to make the decision what works for you. Personally renting your own St Thomas luxury villa seems like a great way to go if you can afford the extra cost. You would get your own private pool, hot tub and many other great amenities.

Another great island to potentially go to is St John. St John is a beautiful island and a totally different vacation from St Thomas. On St John life is slow, very slow. The only worries of the day are which breathtaking beach to go to in their preserved park. There is really no comparison between St John and St Thomas. St John is really a relaxing, grab a book and go and relax vacation. St Thomas can be like that but offers much more in terms of nightlife and excitement.

St John is very cultural and actually larger than St Thomas. There are a few good restaurants on the island but nothing like St Thomas. The beaches are far superior though, offering some of the most picturesque settings you will ever gaze upon. Some of the favorite beaches are Hawks Nest, Trunk and Cinnamon Bays.

Accommodations in St John are similar to St Thomas but are definitely more costly. You could expect to spend fifteen to twenty percent more to stay on St John. But you could also have the chance to see some big time celebrities because they love St John.

Once you have made your selection now you have to get to the island of your choice. Many flights go to the Virgin Islands but none go direct to St John. You will have to fly to St Thomas first and then take a ferry over to St John. That can be a big hassle as you have to lug your luggage off the airline and then schlep everything to a taxi and then off to the ferry. It is a long day for sure but well worth the trip to see beautiful St John.

Now get ready to pack. You will need a lot of sun tan lotion and sunscreen. Make sure to bring a lot of casual clothes. The locals do not dress up so dressing casually is the way to go. Men can wear shorts and Hawaiian type shirts and women can wear sun dresses. Even the most elegant restaurants only require that type of attire. So relax you are in the Caribbean mon!

You'll want to bring medicines, especially allergy medicines just on case. Make sure to pack a lot of swim suits and tee shirts. Do not forget sunglasses as you will most definitely need them. You may want to bring an underwater camera just in case you do some snorkeling or diving. For sure you will want to bring your digital camera.

Which ever island you decide on you will have a great time. They both offer diverse activities and many options.

Remember to bring your passport. The laws are changing and soon you will be required to travel with your passport to the US Virgin Islands. So make sure to get your passport done as quickly as possible. Furthermore while you are in the Virgin Islands you may want to travel to the British Virgin Islands which are just a stones throw away.

Is Your Skin Most Aggravating During Winter?

With all its snow covered, glistening beauty brings a need for some serious skin care because of the extreme cold and lack of humidity that it brings. While summertime usually offers the skin a natural moisture (to an extent), winter brings a natural dryness.

It is important to counteract winters dry, scaly skin in order to combat aging that can happen as well as protect your skin from chapping, cracking, and becoming irritated. Most of the time, chapping and irritation can be itching, and scratching leads to breaks in your skin. When your skin cracks, you are vulnerable to attacks from bacteria, viruses, and allergens. By keeping your skin hydrated and cared for, it is in prime condition to do its main job: protecting you.

One of the hardest things for many people (especially in colder climates) is to realize that the suns rays can damage your skin in the winter, just as they can in the summer. Actually, skin that is regularly exposed to winters UV rays (in snowy climates) is actually more apt to suffer damage that the same skin during summer.

This is due to two factors. The first factor is the snow. When the suns rays hit this natural white covering, the do much more than glisten; they reflect. This means that as the UV rays flow from sun to earth, your skin is hit, but then the hit the snow and bounce back skyward. Those rays will again hit your exposed skin. It is quite the same concept as someone who tans using a foil tanning blanket. The other factor is the fact that very few people realize that they should be wearing sunscreen in the winter.

People who do a lot of snow skiing usually know to use this handy little protector, but the every day crowd simply does not consider the rays and their reflection. You have probably experienced a dry, red face after being outside during winter, you probably told people that you had windburn. Did you ever consider that it looked exactly like your summer sunburn?

If you had sunglasses on, was there a white, raccoon style mask on your face where the glasses were? Although wind can definitely chap the skin, creating an incredible burning sensation, many people who think they have windburn are actually suffering from winter sunburn.

Obviously, the answer to this condition is to remember to use your sunscreen on any areas of your skin that are exposed to the wintry weather conditions. This is especially important if your are using any skin care products or medications applied to the skin that contain tretinoin as an active ingredient.

If you do a lot of exfoliating, you may find that you should adjust your routine so that you are not exfoliating quite as much. Dry skin can be irritated by exfoliation through alpha hydroxy acids, so you may want to consider just using an alpha hydroxy based exfoliating treatment only one time per week or less.

Humidifiers can help keep your skin moist during dry winter weather, too. Although many skin care guides recommend that you utilize these, I feel compelled to tell you that you should not use them if you are allergic to molds or mildew. If you are not, that's great! Humidifiers are going to be able to help you. If you or someone in your house suffers from these allergies, it is not recommended for you to use a humidifier. Remember that internal harm shows up on the outside.

No matter how much the humidifier would help your skin from the outside, if you are suffering through internal irritation from allergies, it will show in your skins condition.

Overly hot showers are not good for your skin any time of the year, but during winter, they are especially harmful. Natural oils are broken down and stripped from the skin in hot water.

Likewise, you should consider using detergent free cleansers during winter months, as these will leave many of the beneficial natural oils in your skin and cleanse the excess oil and debris away.

Why and How You Should Clean Your Jewelry - You Bathe Your Kids Daily, Dont You?

It's a known fact that all types of pricey jewelry can easily get dirty. Cheaper jewelry also gets dirty with wear, but while some cheaper jewelry is impossible to clean without ruining the item, the materials used to create fine jewelry can be cleaned without any harm done to the piece itself. Sometimes high-end jewelry cleaners also have the capacity to clean cheaper jewelry without ruining it.

Article Body:
You're going to invest thousands of dollars in raising your children before they even go away to college; similarly, your husband is going to shower you in thousands of dollars worth of jewelry throughout your marriage. Both investments should be stored properly and bathed with care, right? Would you let little Johnny play on the playground daily without bathing him for 3 days? If you did, you'd have a tough scrubbing job ahead of you. Corners of his body would be covered in microscopic filth, and some dirt might be impossible to reach. And when you follow little Johnny to the playground, to soccer practice, and tae kwon do, don't you think the bracelet on your wrist (let's call it an antique one-of-a-kind that your grandfather designed for your grandmother back in 1942) deserves a little cleaning as well?

Okay, so children and jewelry are two very different things with very different types of value attached to them. Regardless, you catch my drift. It's careless and improper to spoil beautiful jewelry by not maintaining its original glow when you neglect to clean it regularly. Even antique jewelry deserves a refresher every once in a while. Investing in a jewelry cleaner is a small price to pay for the benefit and use that you would harvest from its purchase over the years.

The trick in shopping for a jewelry cleaner is knowing what key words to look for. The following list will help you get a better idea of what to look for:

* Look for a jewelry cleaner that is ultrasonic. An ultrasonic cleaner will have the capability to loosen dirt and grime from small crevices that jewelry cleaning solution cannot dislodge on its own.
* Any high-quality ultrasonic jewelry cleaner will be made with stainless steel so that the cleaner itself doesn't corrode over time.
* Avoid cleaning solutions that use/contain ammonia or any harsh chemicals that could possibly lower the shine or color of your jewelry.
* Make sure the ultrasonic cleaner that you chose has a large enough cleaning tank to fit your larger jewelry into. If you'll be using it to clean eyeglasses or sunglasses, make sure those will fit as well.
* Look for a product warranty and purchase from a reputable business.

The most important suggestion on the list is to purchase an ultrasonic cleaner. As you can probably tell by the root of the word, "ultrasonic" has to do with sound frequency. The technology involved in creating a high sound frequency jewelry cleaner allows for the smallest particles to be removed from the surface and tight corners of a piece of jewelry. Scrubbing with your hands alone cannot create the same cleaning effect as an ultrasonic cleaner can, and investing in one will ensure that your jewelry stays young, pure, and shiny for many years to come. If only you could keep your kids that way! Unfortunately, ultrasonic bathtubs have yet to be invented.

Sun Glasses Theyre Hip and Hot!

Searching for the perfect look for any season? Sun glasses make the perfect accessory to most ensembles. Any outfit gets an extra touch of style when you pay attention to decorating the parts of your body from the neck up. Why deny yourself the opportunity to look extra hot in the cold season, and extra cool during the heat wave?

It must be the mysterious look. Sun glasses provide the "it" factor that many of us seek from our accessories, and this is why the trendier of us invest in genuine upscale brands like Ray-Ban and Oakley - you pay for the long-term "it" thing that goes well with anything you wear. In fact, sunglasses even look cool at night! But to keep from suffering the embarrassment of bumping into telephone poles and the like, there are also glasses that offer flexible visual opacity; in short, not all sunglasses obscure sight even in places that have no sun.

For practical purposes, you should choose sunglasses that block out at least 90% of the sun's UV rays. This would ensure that your pretty eyes are kept safe, which is the primary purpose of sunglasses.

Next, you should choose a make and design that fits your activities and your lifestyle. If you're an active, sporty person you'll want the extra wind and dust protection afforded by wraparound shades, many of which are nowadays designed to look cool with sports wear! You'll also need sunglasses that are anti-corrosive, meaning the acidity of your skin won't harm the material the frames are made of. This is important because when you engage in sporty activities, you sweat a lot, and sweat comes with acid that may damage the frame of your sunglasses. Some people's skin is more acidic than others', but good sports sunglasses will take different skin and sweat types into consideration.

Should you need sunglasses mainly to look chic, you don't need to worry so much about wind and dust protection. Fashion sunglasses that focus more on the look than on the make have been manufactured since Hollywood stars of the 50s made them famous in their films. Choosing the right shape and color of the frame would help you pick out sunglasses that are just as trendy as fashion jewelry. Buy more than one pair so you can mix and match your sun glasses with your wardrobe!

Sun glasses have always lent a little extra "cool" to any ensemble. If you're looking to stand out in a crowd, invest in shades!

Jacksonville Festival Season Opens with the Great Atlantic Seafood Festival

Saturday, March 18th marked the beginning of the Jax Beach '06 festival season with the 16th Annual Great Atlantic Seafood and Music Festival. After a beautiful week of temps in the upper 70's, Saturday saw a shift in winds from the North East, dropping temperatures into the upper 60's. Not to matter, the sunny skies brought the masses out in droves to the Seawalk Pavilion for a day of music fun and food.

At center stage, people were dancing to the music from 12 to 10 with a variety of live bands playing everything from funk to rap, blues, jazz, and just good ole rock and roll. Fusebox Funk delighted festival goers with their own style of rap and funk, and then went over to Freebird Live to do another set that night. Another Jacksonville favorite, Woody and the Peckers performed a set of old and new rock, belting out favorites such as Beatle's tune I Saw Her Standing There, and I Got a Line on You by Spirit. Young and old alike laid out and frolicked on the grass all day long enjoying tunes from every genre.

Over at the Food Court, the star of the show was the massive amounts of fresh Florida seafood. Grouper, Mahi, shrimp, crawfish and calamari - prepared in a variety of ways from Cajun to Greek, to just plain old Florida style cookin'. Something for everybody, even the non seafood lovers could enjoy the Florida Bar-B-Q at the Sticky Fingers booth. Long lines of hungry festival goers couldn't seem to get enough of the bountiful Florida fruit of the sea!

Fun for all ages, the playground area across from the food court had a really fun bunji jumping ride and a very tall rock climbing wall for the adventurers. In the other corner were the inflatables just for the toddlers, with Superman standing guard.

Making your way back to the stage was also a treat, with booths lined up four wide and manned by vendors from all over Florida and the Caribbean. Arts and crafts of all kinds from handcrafted wood carvings of fish and other animals, to the colorful Reggae fashions from Jamaica. Jewelry, T-shirts, sunglasses from Ocean Wave, and all kinds of ornaments and unusual stuff filled the booths all the way back to First Street.

A great way to start the spring, the Great Atlantic Seafood and Music Festival was once again a huge success.

Coming up on the first weekend in April at the Seawalk Pavilion is the mother of all beaches festivals. Three days of music, food and fun, the 16th Annual George's Music Springing the Blues Festival starts on March 31st. Blues bands from all over the country
perform to the delight of 40,000+ festival goers. Other events at the three day festival include a 5k run, a surfing contest, and a bike ride for cancer research, as well as some after hours jam sessions in some local clubs.

The oceanfront Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach is a two block area where people come to lay out and play in the grass. Events are scheduled throughout the year including festivals, live concerts, and a moonlight movie series during the summer months. A destination for the people of Jacksonville and the Beaches, visitors to our area should definitely put one of these events on their list of things to do!

Variety. Instead of sitting in the same old office and staring out the same old window every day, mystery shopping offers a literal change in scenery. One day you may be evaluating a retail store, the next a fine restaurant and the next a movie theater. Can you imagine being paid to watch a movie or dine out? If you would enjoy getting out of a career slump, mystery shopping may be the boost that you need.

Income potential. Whether you want to participate in mystery shopping as a way to earn a few extra bucks or you want to turn it into a part or full-time career, the choice is yours. Be in business for yourself. The fact is that you are the best boss that you will ever have. When you work for yourself as a mystery shopper, you are working on your schedule, according to your hours and have more control over your income. Self-employed individuals receive tax advantages, receive higher rates of pay and are much more likely to enjoy their work.

Free stuff. When you are a mystery shopper, you are assigned a job that requires you to evaluate either a product or service. You will be given specific instructions as to what items, if any, are required to be purchased in accordance with your evaluation. Whether it is a slice of pizza or a pair of sunglasses, you will almost always be reimbursed for the cost of these items by the company who hires you as a mystery shopper. What this means for you is, in addition to being compensated financially for your job, you will also often enjoy the benefits of freebies.

Interesting work. At the end of the day, which side of the customer counter would you prefer to be on? Would you rather be the cashier ringing up the purchase or would you rather be shopping and getting paid for it? If you are like most, the latter is the most appealing option. When you are a mystery shopper, your work is never boring because it varies from one day to the next. You can never get bored by seeing the same people every day or doing the same activities. Mystery shopping will keep you stepping high and well over any slumps that a traditional job may offer.

Based on long-term reduction of wrinkles, instant reducing of fine lines, antioxidant protective properties that delay skin cell aging, collagen and skin renewal properties and skin smoothing properties, the most common skin care creams include Rejuvinol, Alpha Derma, Idebenol, Strixderm, Avotone, Strivectin-SD, Rejuvenex, and Hydroderm.

Although these skin care creams are known to contain high-grade chemicals and ingredients, which are uniquely formulated to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, most dermatologists still agree that proper skin care can help people maintain younger looking skin.

Here are some helpful tips in achieving that healthy skin:

1. The most basic thing you should learn in caring for your skin is to develop a good skin care regimen. Make sure that you clean your skin every day by deep cleansing it using safe cleansing products.

2. If you are using beauty products such as skin care creams, make sure that you are consistent in using or applying the product/s properly by following the instructions included.

3. Always keep your skin well hydrated by having enough liquid supply in your body by drinking lots of water or juices. Water or liquid intake should be 8 glasses or more daily.

4. If you're a woman, make facial skin care as your top priority by removing your make-up before sleeping. This would prevent skin pore clogging and congestion. Also, keep your makeup clean by replacing sponges and brushes regularly.

5. Always keep your skin moisturized day and night to keep it from harmful elements, which damage it. Use skin care products that have high vitamin E, shea butter, squalene, and aloe vera contents.

6. Protect your skin everyday by always using sunscreen with a SPF of at least 15. This can prevent premature skin aging, wrinkles, and fine lines. Along with sunscreen, protect your skin by using sunglasses, full-brimmed hats, long sleeved blouses, and slacks.

7. If you're smoking, quit. Giving up nicotine intake can help your skin regain its lost nutrients.

8. Reduce excessive intake of caffeinated and alcoholic drinks because they only causes dehydration which only lead to cell death.

Vitamins are essential in keeping the skin healthy. In fact, there are a lot of beauty and skin care products in the market that use these natural vitamins and minerals as their ingredients. Vitamin C, is said to be one of the vitamins that is very beneficial in helping the skin regenerate.

In order to be used on the skin, Vitamin C is transformed to L-ascorbic acid. This form, however, is pretty unstable and is in fact so hard to be used in cosmetics. This is perhaps the reason why there is only a few cosmetic products that carry Vitamin C when compared to other vitamins like A and E. Still, chemists are trying to find ways as this form is found to stimulate collagen synthesis on the skin. Unlike other vitamins, it is also able stay in the skin for as long as three days as well as prevents a reaction called UV immunosuppression, often seen in 90 percent of cancer patients in the country.

In looking for Vitamin C in products, make sure that it contains a stable L-ascorbic form and a low pH level. Highly concentrated products are also recommended. Remember that just because a product advertises Vitamin C on it front level, it does not mean that it contains the kind or the form (L-ascorbic acid) that your skin can use.

Vitamin C as shield from the sun

Vitamin C, as mentioned above, serves as a good shield from the sun, which harms the skin by drying it up and causing wrinkles and lines to show up. Vitamin C does this by neutralizing the reactive oxygen or free radicals, which is often caused by the interaction of sunlight, skin tissues and of course the cell membrane. But though it revents the absorption of light, it should not be used to replace sunscreen. Skin care experts still recommend the use of sunscreen for maximum sun protection. Still, vitamin C can be combined with sunscreens for more coverage and longer protection because once this gets into the skin, it cannot be easily washed or rubbed off.

Vitamin C as an anti-oxidant

Vitamin C is known to play a crucial role in the oxidation process. It prevents free radicals from destroying the skin. Free radicals are caused by ultraviolet rays from the sun and its reaction with oxygen.

Vitamin C stimulates Collagen

The vitamin helps synthesize collagen, a component of the skin that is essential in slowing down the aging process of the skin. L-ascorbic acid signals the collagen genes to begin creating new collagen

Slam Dunk Fishing Tips For Beginners

Fishing is a sport that is fun and tranquil if you do it by spending your time with your family, friends and with Mother Nature. For the Americans, fishing is considered as their favorite past-time.

One of the fishing activities is fresh water fishing. Fresh water fishing is a great outdoor sport as it involves catching fishes in streams, rivers and lakes, which requires a lot of patience, thus is very challenging. It requires you to acquire skills over a period of time. However, this fun and challenging activity can be done even with kids.

Before you begin fishing, it's a good idea for you to check your state's fishing requirements, just to make sure that you have the proper documentations to fish. For example, you might need a license to fish and this you can check from the sporting goods store. The people here can determine if you need a license, and if you do, they can even help you get one. Some stores will even provide the license for you. So remember to check what documentations you might need before you go on your fishing trip.

Since you are already in your neighbourhood sporting goods store, take some time to look around and see the latest fishing equipment available. Then you'd be able to decide on the right fishing equipment to purchase for your fishing trip. If you are a beginner at fishing, do check your budget. You should not overspend and buy expensive equipment. Just get the basic items that you really need for your trip.

Should you be in nay doubt as to what you should purchase and what you can do without, do not hesitate to get assistance from the store keeper. However, always keep in mind that you have a set budget and you have to stick to it. Take as long as you need to decide on each piece of equipment, and always ask questions on each equipment that is shown to you. Ask about how the equipment is used and whether or not a beginner would really need such equipment. For example, you could purchase artificial lures for bait, but you can also use worms that you dig out from your own backyard.

As a beginner, you would only require the basic items, such as an inexpensive rod and reel, a fishing line, some hooks, weights, fishing lures or bait, a net and perhaps a bobber which will help your line to keep afloat. Sunglasses are also essential. Choose polarized sunglasses as they can lessen the glare thus helping you to see clearly through the water.

Next, find out where the fishes are. If you do not know any good fishing locations, try asking for the local hotspots. Alternately, you could check with your state's fishing regulations for further information on the various fishing locations around your state.

The time will come for you to be an expert fisherman. When you are one, you can easily upgrade your equipment to top-of-the-line fishing equipment. In the meantime, try to keep this basic and as simple as possible.

One thing important that you should always remember is never to fish alone. You should always go with a friend. That way should an emergency take place, there will always be another person to get help or assistance.

The smartest thing for you to do would be to start fishing is shallow waters. Aim you cast in any rocky or shady areas where the water is deep. This is where the fish can be found. Do remember that this is your practice exercise.

Once your skill level grows and you become better, you can then try out the deeper waters. However before attempting such things, make sure you take your time to practice casting. This will help you familiarize yourself with your rod and reel.

And you know where is the best place for you to practice? Your own backyard! First, mark off the area with a length of rope. This will be your guide to practice aiming your cast. Practice throwing your cast and look at your movements. Study how you move your arms. Find the best way for you to cast your line. This should be the way that suits your best and one that you're comfortable with. Remember, when casting, it's all in the wrist, not in the arms.

When using fishing hooks, practice extreme caution as they are very sharp and can cause injury. Before you cast your line, check to see that the area is clear and that there are no obstacles in your way. This will make sure that no one gets hurt with the sharp fishing hooks.

When it is finally time for you to go on a real fishing trip, remember to always cast your line a little way ahead of the fish. Also try to make your lure or bait land softly and without much of a splash. The fish will see the bait at a close point, but if the line is behind the fish, the fish will not be able to see it.

Should there be at any one time your cast gets a little disorganized, you should move closer towards the water. This will help you get better accuracy in casting your line.

Keep a close eye on the bobber. If you detect any movement, or if the bobber goes underwater, you will know that a fish has grabbed the bait. This means you've got a fish hooked on your line. Relax and don't get too excited. Stay calm at all times.

Now that the fish is hooked, try to keep your line tight and very slowly reel in your fish. Hold your net close by and use it to get the fish out of the water. Once your fish is out, you can proceed to remove the hook from the fish. This you should very carefully do so you don't end up hurting yourself.

Should you find that the fish you just caught is undersized (in accordance to the states regulation book) you should immediately return it to the water. Also, if you have no intention to cook your catch of the day, do not waste the fish. You should quickly throw it back into the water. When you throw your fish back into the water you are helping to supply the water with more fish. This way, fishermen in the future will be able to experience the same exhilarating feeling that you get when you get a catch.

And finally, do make sure you take your time to look around and enjoy your surrounding environment. You will find that this is the best time for you to experience the calm and peaceful view of the water.

And finally don't forget to have fun!

Moving Costs Dont Have to Break You

When you're planning to move, those costs should be considered and planned for ahead of time. It's not cheap. A move can cost thousands of dollars. That is, when you're leaving all the work to someone else.

And work it is: not only do all your things have to be packed, loaded, and transported, but there is preliminary work in the meantime that you'll have to do anyway that is less possible to farm out to someone else. Sorting your belongings, deciding what to keep and what to give away, and making arrangements for things that the professional movers won't do anyway.

Taking control of your own move can shave hundreds or even thousands of dollars off your move. This is especially true if you're not moving a huge amount of stuff. If you do have a large amount of stuff, now may be a good time to get rid of most of it. What things aren't you using anymore, and can't foresee any use for? Sometimes it can be tricky -- and emotional -- deciding what to keep and what to toss or donate.

Here's one way of approaching this task: get yourself a number of boxes. Start gathering up all your things -- you have to anyway to pack, right? -- and fill the boxes according to three designations: boxes for items that are "friends" (things you like and use often, for which there is no question you're taking them with you); boxes for "acquaintances" (things you use rarely, and like but could live without), and boxes for "strangers" (you don't even remember you have them, don't care for them, and wouldn't miss them if you left them behind). In addition to boxes of stuff, include furniture. Many people don't even like their furniture, and their bed is old and should be replaced anyway (8 years is a typical mattress's lifespan), so be honest with yourself about what you plan to drag along with you. Remember, every inch of that moving truck has a price tag attached. Gas mileage suffers the heavier the load is, too.

Now, pack only the boxes with items you consider to be friends. You don't have as much of these as you thought, probably! Now, order your moving truck size based on the space you will need to load only these items. You're saving money already!

Since there will likely be some extra space, since the truck won't be exactly the square footage needed for the friends, you can fit in some acquaintances too. Resist pack rat tendencies. The more stuff you bring, the less room you'll have at your new place. Also, all that loading and unloading costs you in time and energy. However, don't throw out truly loved items just because your use for them is limited to once or twice a year. If you have to buy everything all new all over again because it actually is needed in your life, then it may indeed be worth it to bring with you. Just don't let sentiment turn into a sentence!

Now that you've taken care of your own stuff, consider the transportation of living things: yourself, your family, pets, and plants. Obviously you need room for everyone you're bringing with you, and may have to rent another vehicle to accomplish this. Make sure jackets, first aid, prescriptions, sunscreen, and snacks are handy and not packed away. Don't subject yourself to stinging glare on the road because your sunglasses got inadvertently tucked away at the bottom of a suitcase. And if you have children, they should have something to read or play with on the road so boredom doesn't drive them stir crazy.

Often it's not only humans that are moving to a new home. Long distance moving companies will not move your pets for you, so arrange to have your pets accompany you. Consult your vet about the best way to go about this, especially if you will be going through several climate changes. Of course you will need to supply them with sufficient breaks along the way for food, water, and exercise. There are many ways to increase your pets' comfort and minimize the stress of the experience. Also, your plants will need special care and handling so they are not traumatized by climactic changes and drying out. Ask for advise at your local nursery for the best ways of transporting your plant friends.

The bottom line for many people will come down to budget. Movers cost money, and it may or may not be necessary for all people who move to incur those costs.
